Led creation and local deployment of a unified CMS platform across over 90 countries, streamlining global digital presence
Challenge
Ipsos headquarters initiated a project to consolidate all local websites into a single CMS platform on Drupal
The project had to follow several key requirements: multi-language adaptability for over 15 languages (including Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean), accessibility norms for slow connections and low-spec hardware, and a robust CMS capable of supporting 90 websites.
Solution
We chose Adyax, a leading Drupal agency in France, through a competitive selection process involving eight agencies.
The project, rooted in agile methodology and managed via Jira and Confluence, utilized Drupal 8 to tailor a deployment strategy for each country.
We designed the site architecture to facilitate easy content publication while maintaining control over certain sections (e.g., expertise, solutions, about us) centrally, leaving local teams the autonomy to manage news, studies, and career sections.
Executing the deployment strategy was challenging due to existing local digital footprints, including side projects and event pages.
Convincing local teams of the new system's flexibility was key to its acceptance.
The transition, taking one and a half years for the main site and 80% of local sites, involved bi-weekly global videoconferences and meticulous backlog management, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to unifying Ipsos's digital
